The travel insurance is the last priority in the list when one travels. It seems like nothing bad can happen to the trip that has been dreamed of, planned and now to become a reality. But like it or not, unforeseeable circumstances happen and if it does what will you do? Who do you call? What will you do for expenses? You’re left holding the bag, if you’re lucky even to have that, but worst case scenario, you are in a strange country with no one to help you get out. 2. You’re having the time of your life enjoying the carnival festival in Venice when you find out that your passport and wallet’s stolen. What will you do now? Who could give you money and at the same time help you get a new passport?
  3. You are on your way back when your connecting flight is cancelled. How will you get home? Who is going to help you get a new flight schedule and bring you home?
  4. It is your first day on a four day scuba diving trip in Palawan, Philippines when news of terrorist attack is announced and the area declared unsafe. Who will reimburse you for the lost vacation expense and evacuate you from the place as well?
  5. The trip has been planned but a day before leaving, your boss tells you that you have to postpone. How will you get paid when you have to cancel your trip?
  6. On an adventure trip driving on the Trans Siberian Highway, you have an accident. Who is going to take care of you? If it is a serious accident and you need to be medically evacuated, who is going to take care of that?
  7. You’ve booked a cruise trip when the cruise liner went on a strike and all trips cancelled. What happens to the money you’ve shelled out for your ticket? Will you be able to finish the trip?

This is not to dampen your spirit for venturing out to other countries because travelling is, and always be a fantastic experience.
