- Notify bank and credit card companies of your international travel. This will help avoid any issue using your cards during your travel.
- Take a picture of your passport and travel documents. Email these to a yourself and a friend/family member. This will come in handy in case you lose anything while traveling.
- Don’t exchange money at the airport or hotel. These typically have the worst exchange rates. Be sure to visit a local bank in the country and compare the exchange rates being offered.
- Always pack a day worth of clothes in your carry-on. Just in case your checked baggage is lost or delayed.
