Do I Need An International Driving Permit for My Trip?

• Don’t get caught without having the required documentation for renting a car internationally!  Along with your US drivers license and passport, many countries require US citizens to bring an IDP (also known as an International Driving Permit).
• This is pretty much just a translation of your US drivers license to the specific country’s language. The cost for an IDP is $20 and the process takes 10-15 minutes. You can get one at your local AAA location.  We always let our travelers know if they’ll need to get one prior to traveling!
