10 Days in Northern Italy & Switzerland

We recently sent some clients on an amazing trip through Lake Como and Switzerland! They had an amazing 10 day adventure, which included Milan, Lake Como, Zermatt, Lucerne. We helped them in booking their international flights, trains to each city (including the scenic Glacier Express from Zermatt to Lucerne) and accommodations & excursions!

2 Nights in Milan – There first stop was in Milan! They stayed in the fashionable Sina de la Villa hotel, which is centrally located downtown.
- They explored the must see” Duomo di Milano, the Pinacoteca Art Museum, La Scala Opera House and enjoyed the fashion scene in the city!
2 Nights in Lake Como – They loved their time in Lake Como! They stayed at stunning Lake Como Hilton hotel here. Their views from the balcony were absolutely beautiful and postcard material. They enjoyed some time on the lake and exploring the area for a couple of days.

2 Nights in Zermatt Switzerland – This is a stunning mountain resort town that they thoroughly enjoyed. They stayed at the wonderfully located Alpenhof hotel. Their views from their room was spectacular, as it overlooked Matterhorn Mountain. They had the perfect mix of nature and also a 5 minute walk to restaurants, shops, bars, etc. This was also the start of their Glacier Express train journey that took them to Lucerne for their last stop.

3 Nights in Lucerne – This was their final stop on the trip. This was a must stop for our clients. They stayed in a charming old world hotel (Hotel Wilden Mann) that has so much character. It’s centrally located as well. It was a 5 minute walk from the Lucerne train station, near the Rotsee lake and Mount Pilatus.
- **MUST DO** – Our clients had the experience of a lifetime with a special tour that we arranged for them through Mt. Pilatus. If there is one thing to do while in Lucerne, this is it! They enjoyed a quick tour visiting Mt. Pilatus, which they took in the unworldly views of the Swiss Alps and lakes in the valleys. This also included a train ride thru the mountain that finished with a boat ride back to Lucerne.

- I liked visiting several cities it allows more experiences.
What is a tip that you would give to future travelers?
- Do your homework before going so you know what has to be done ahead of time. eg some tours need to be booked months in advance.
What are two restaurants that you’d recommend for future travelers?
- In Milano eat in the Galleria at any restaurant. The people watching is fabulous.
- If you are in Lucerne, eat on mountain top of Mt Pilatus.
