Good news for all of our Mexico travelers. There is a new airport scheduled to open in Tulum. The region has continued to see an increase in tourism. As of now, travelers currently fly into Cancun’ Internation Airport and then travel about an hour and 40 minutes to Tulum. This will of course eliminate the need for the long drive from Cancun. There isn’t a set date for rhe opening of the new airport.
We absolutely love the Tulum area. It features a more laid back and authentic experiemce for travelers. There are only a couple of large resorts in the area. There are mostly nice small boutiques and rental properties in Tulum.
