The best time to visit in winter months is December through February. Prague’s weather this time of the year is usually pretty tame and will almost always have blue skies during the day. - Copenhagen, Denmark – Another capitol city, known for its “Winter Wonderland” feel. Visiting this place during the holiday season will have you feeling “Hygge,” the Danish word for coziness & contentment. Visit the Fairytale Castles, explore the Tivoli Gardens, or relax in a hot sauna!
- Strasbourg, France – Sitting near the German border is the beautiful town of Strasbourg. Here is the home of Strasbourg Cathédrale! This town is the perfect blend of French & German culture and architecture. Especially in the neighborhood called, Petite France, in the center of town. Making it the perfect place to take a picture for your Christmas cards.
- London, England – No Holiday travel list is complete without London. Attend a winter festival, go ice skating, or visit a Christmas market! Do all of the “touristy” things at this time because locations are far less crowded this time of the year. Best thing to do in London around the holidays? Window shop. London is known for their beautifully decorated window displays during the holidays!
- Munich, Germany – Munich isn’t only all about Oktoberfest! To get the best views of the city in all its glory, hike up to the top of Olympiaturm (olympia Tower)! Walk around town and feel the holiday spirit, take a city sightseeing tour on the Christmas tram, or head to Nymphenburg Palace to visit Munich’s largest curling track!
