The question everyone is wondering about: What is travel going to look like in the future?
  • There is no doubt travel will be different in the coming months and potentially years. As countries, states, and most destinations prepare to reopen there are a few things to know and be ready for traveling in a “Post-COVID” world.
  • With a bit of preparation, you can continue to travel the world safely if needed (and as areas start to allow tourism again).

  • Resorts & Hotels Operating at Half Capacity – In order to adhere social distancing guidelines, some resorts may restrict themselves from filling up. This will allow for less visitors & less interaction with other guests. Making it more intimate. A lot of resorts are marketing this, as well.
  • Travel Insurance Will Be VITAL – We’ve always preached this in the past, but this is something that is so importation in the sense you may need to cancel for any reason. Don’t give up the option to insure your trips! This may have been something you were willing to risk in the past, but now this will be necessary.   We always recommend that you include the CFAR (cancel for any reason) option with your standard insurance policy.  This adds additional costs to the trip, but it protects you in case you do need to cancel for any reason.  We can help connect you with the insurance company for any specific questions that you might have on the coverage.
  • You Will See More Airlines Advertising Air Quality and More Room – Many airlines have been doing this for years. But all will need to keep up and make sure their passengers are staying healthy and can breathe well while flying. Airlines will have to go the extra mile for their customers to feel safe.   They are also removing the middle seat, or restricting usage of the middle seat in order to keep distance between travelers.

  • Recovering/Reopening Countries Will Be Uneven – While you may see one country open up, their neighbor may not be as inviting. Be patient and do your research before you travel to avoid getting stuck in countries.  Also, we always recommend staying informed with the US Department of State and CDC
  • Temperature Checking Stations and Masks – You may encounter stations where you are required to get your temperature checked (usually by an thermal imaging scanner) in order to continue. Do not panic, this is simple & quick and you will be on your way soon.  Also, masks will be required by airports and most airlines (currently being updated regularly.
