DAY 1, Sunday – Depart for Italy

  • Arrive in Rome, an astonishing city built on seven hills and overflowing with priceless treasures; transfer to your hotel. Balance of the day is at leisure
  • Overnight: Rome

DAY 3, Tuesday – Full Day in Rome

  • Today is yours to explore Rome independently. Perhaps participate in the optional morning tour of the Vatican Museums. Admire the Gallery of Tapestries and the Geographical Maps before arriving at the Sistine Chapel with its great frescoes by Michelangelo. Continue to the Basilica of St. Peter and burial site of its namesake, Saint Peter. In the afternoon discover the city’s rich culture and history on your own or, join the optional Ancient Rome tour. Begin at the legendary Roman Forum, the central area from which ancient Rome developed. View the triumphal Arch of Constantine, erected by the Roman Senate to commemorate Constantine’s tenth year of leadership over the eternal city. On to the mighty Colosseum, the largest amphitheater built in the Roman Empire that seated 50,000, where gladiatorial combats and public events took place Optional: Vatican Museums (AM) Optional: Ancient Rome (PM)

DAY 4, Wednesday – Cruise Embarkation

  • Enjoy the morning at leisure in Rome before transferring to the port in Civitavecchia. Embarkation will begin at 2:00 pm. The ship sails at 7:00 pm. Sail overnight to Livorno

DAY 5, Thursday – Full Day in Livorno, Italy

  • This morning at 7:00 am, arrive in Livorno, located in the heart of the Tuscany region on the Ligurian Sea coast. Livorno is characterized by a large network of canals that were originally built as defensive moats and later served as an important transportation network throughout the city. Perhaps take a cruise on the fossi (moats), or stroll through the Central Market and sample the delicious array of food brought in from the Italian countryside. Set sail at 7:00 pm

DAY 6, Friday – Full Day in Cannes, France

  • This morning at 8:00 am, arrive in Cannes, located on the picturesque French Riviera and world-renowned for its international film festival. Explore the many shops and cafes on the promenade de la Croisette, or take a mini-train up to the “Colline du Chateau”  for a fabulous view of the city and the “Bay of Angels”. Set sail this evening at 6:00 pm

DAY 7, Saturday – Afternoon in Palma de Mallorca, Spain

  • This afternoon arrive in Palma de Mallorca around 1:00 pm. Palma de Mallorca is the largest city and capital of the Balearic Islands, a group of Mediterranean islands off the east coast of Spain and known throughout Europe as a popular holiday resort. Palma was founded by the Romans some 2,100 years ago and is replete with wall-to-wall history and architectural splendor. The Cathedral, the Almudaina Palace, the Lonja fish market and Plaza Mayor are some of the sites worth visiting. The landscape of the island is full of caves, and beautiful beaches. Palma is the city with many activities to enjoy such as the beach, playing sports, historic sightseeing and great shopping! Set sail this evening at 8:00 pm

DAY 8, Sunday – Full Day in Barcelona, Spain

  • Arrive at 5:00 am in Barcelona, considered one of the most artistic and culturally rich cities in Spain. Perhaps stop at Park Guell, one of Barcelona’s largest urban parks designed by Gaudi, the famous Catalan architect. Originally planned to be an exclusive area for the richest families of Barcelona’s bourgeoisie, it later became a public park. Though the park was never fully completed, it is considered one of Gaudi’s most colorful and playful works. Perhaps, visit the iconic symbol of Barcelona, Gaudi’s masterpiece La Sagrada Familia, a colossal church that is still unfinished.  Don’t forget to take a stroll down the historic avenue of Las Ramblas, the most famous and lively street in Barcelona. Sail at 6:00 pm

DAY 9, Monday – At Sea

DAY 10, Tuesday – Full Day in Naples, Italy

  • Today at 7:00 am, dock in Naples, located on Italy’s breathtaking southern coast. Explore this picturesque city, or join an excursion to see the impressive sites in the area. Go to the city of Pompeii, destroyed by the Volcano Vesuvius in 79 AD, and has remained remarkably well-preserved by the ash that buried it, or marvel at the natural beauty of Italy’s Amalfi Coast, including the Isle of Capri, with its towering rock cliffs and turquoise waters. This evening, sail at 7:00 pm
  • Overnight: Cruise
  • Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

DAY 11, Wednesday – Depart Italy

  • This morning, arrive to Civitavecchia at 6:00 am. Disembark the ship and transfer to the airport for your departure flight
