4 Useful Travel Tips for Your Next International Adventure
-
Passport
- Take a picture of your passport and email it to yourself before traveling. Also, make additional copies. You never know when you’ll need them. We have had several experiences where our clients lost their passports, but had pictures and emails to help them while traveling. We also recommend taking your paper copy with you while exploring and you can leave your actual passport back in the room locked your safe.
-
Local Currency
- Always take a small amount of local currency cash with you for your trip. We suggest brining a small amount of local currency in case you need it for tips, small purchases or if you are not able to access a ATM or local bank upon arrival. Try to avoid exchanging money at the local airport or resort, as they typically don’t provide great exchange rates for travelers.
-
Travel Insurance
- Always purchase travel insurance. This will protect from so many things. Option to cancel for any reason prior travel, emergency evacuation in case of a crises, an injury or sickness while traveling and so many other reason. We’ve had travelers use their insurance for many of these reason and they would have been out of quite a bit of money with the additional travel insurance.
-
Local Language
- Study up on the local language prior to your trip. We’re not saying you need to become affluent, but learning the basic phrases will go along way and the locals will appreciate your attempt.
