We love a great sunrise or sunset. Who doesn’t right? Here are a few of our favorite destinations to relax and enjoy a great sunrise or sunset. Enjoy the list!

1) Hanalei Bay, Kauai

We absolutely love Hanalei Bay. This destination is tucked away in the northern part on the island of Kauai. We always make sure to stay up in this area for a few night on one of the condo options.
- Timely Traveler Tip – We love spending a few nights out at the Hanalei Colony Resort. It’s a beautiful area located just a few feets from the sand. Waking up with a coffee overlooking Hanalei Bay is a must!

2) Santorini, Greece

We don’t have to say too much about this destination. Anyone who has a chance to enjoy a magical sunset in Santorini will forever remember this experience.
- Timely Traveler Tip – We love staying in the Oia area on Santorini. There are so many great places to stay here along the caldera. There are ultra luxury options here with amazing infinity private pools, stunning view and an experience that you will never forget.

3) San Pedro, Belize

One of our favorite destinations to explore, also offers memorable sunrises and sunsets. We particular love the views on Ambergris Caye. This is a beautiful island off the mainland of Belize.
- Timely Traveler Tip – We love enjoying a nice cocktail and watching the sunset at the restaurant, Truck Stop. This is a great place for adults and families to sit back and enjoy the sunset. They often have live music, kids games, a swimming pool, great drinks and food as well.
  - If you are seeking an amazing sunrise, we recommend waking up early and walking (or running) along the long stretch of beach. We did this every morning on our trip and it was so peaceful.

4) Komodo Island, Indonesia (off the coast)

Although visitors are now no longer able to explore the Komodo Island, there are so many wonderful sunset & sunrise opportunities here. We had the chance to view an amazing sunset here on an overnight boat cruise to the island. It was magical to say the least.
- Timely Traveler Tip – Take an overnight boat out to Komodo Island and the other surrounding areas. We slept on the top deck of the boat and had an incredible experiences viewing the sunset and sunrise.

5) Masai Mara, Kenya

Now having a few sundowners (drinks at sunset) after a full day safari is absolutely great. It’s a must do after any safari day. The sunset is just a little spectacular as well.
- Timely Traveler Tip – Make sure that you book you safari with a nice luxury operator who will provide you with the sundownder experience after a long day. Watching the animals in their natural environment from a safe distance and finishing the day with a cold beverage of your choice is a once in a lifetime experience….and you need to have it!
